‘SCALA!!! Or, the incredibly strange rise and fall of the world’s wildest cinema and how it influenced a mixed-up generation of weirdos and misfits’is having its UK movie premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 14th.
Mark Moore makes an appearance along with a ton of other movie buffs who were interviewed for the film. These include: Barry Adamson, John Akomfrah, Ralph Brown, Adam Buxton, Caroline Catz, Mary Harron, Douglas Hart, Matt Johnson, Alan Jones, Princess Julia, Isaac Julien, Nick Kent, Beeban Kidron, Stewart Lee, Mark Moore, Thurston Moore, James O’Brien, Paul Putner, JoAnne Sellar, Peter Strickland, Cathi Unsworth, Ben Wheatley, Jah Wobble, Stephen Woolley and John Waters.
It’s a film about the greatest cinema that ever lived, the cult and underground films it showed and the crazy people who went there.
