Mark Moore of S'express holding I Am Weekender Blu-ray
Mark Moore appears in the new documentary film, I Am Weekender, directed by Chloé Raunet. The doc is about the groundbreaking short film Weekender directed by WIZ in 1992 and it features conversations with people involved with the project, alongside others it touched.
Initially banned on its release, Weekender – the film of Flowered Up’s classic acid house cri de cœur – is today hailed as one of the most innovative music films ever made.

Now WIZ’s pioneering meditation on the British rave experience is celebrated in Chloé Raunet’s documentary about the film’s making, impact and legacy. Contributors include Irvine Welsh, Jeremy Deller, Lynne Ramsay, Bobby Gillespie, Clive Langer, Mark Moore, Róisín Murphy, Annie Nightingale, Shaun Ryder, David Holmes, Roy the Roach and more.

Once described as ‘the Citizen Kane of acid house’, Weekender, the film that started it all, is also issued on Blu Ray in a brand new 2K restoration.

‘Feels like a shot of the street’ Lou Reed

‘Without Weekender there’d be no Trainspotting’ Danny Boyle

‘Crazy, hedonistic, light and dark’ Lynne Ramsay

If you haven’t seen it yet grab the Blu Ray (limited to 2000 copies + extras and booklet) or stream on Amazon Prime + BFI player.
